Obituary for Ronald "Ron" Parr
Passed away peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital, Garden Street Site on Monday, February 19, 2018. Ronald Wallace Parr, at the age of 90 years. Beloved husband of Shirley Lysko Parr and the late Kathleen (nee Toohey). Dear father of Ronald (Marg) Parr, Susan (Doug) Bow, David (Pam) Parr, Nancy (Jamie) McMahon, and Mary (Larry) Bernard. Stepfather of Mark Lysko. Also survived by thirteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and by one step-great-grandchild. Dear brother of Ted (Jean, deceased) and Murray Parr and Joyce (Ron, deceased) McEachern. Brother-in-law of Veronica (Don) Steele, Marjorie Toohey (Donald, deceased), Betty Toohey (Bernard, deceased), Sheila Cornell, Mary Forsythe and Linda Mitchell. Predeceased by his sisters Lois Russell, Gloria Daly (Gerry) and Marilyn Wright (Bill), brother Ken Parr, sister-in-law Phyllis Sauve and brothers-in-law Clarence Reynolds and Ronald (Carol) Toohey.
Ron was a long time employee of Microtel. He also served in the Canadian Armed Forces and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Br. 96.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Saturday, February 24th from 2 pm until 3:30 pm when a celebration of Ron's life will be held in the chapel at 3:30 pm. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Brockville and District Hospital Foundation; Palliative Care or the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 96; Poppy Fund will be gratefully acknowledged.
