The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of John (David) Elliott can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: Dear Mrs. Elliott, Denise, Bruce, Joanne, Brian and family,
Sending you heartfelt condolences in this very sad and difficult time. I have so many fond and funny memories of growing up with "The Elliott's" on Acadie street. Although many years have passed it really doesn't seem like all that long ago. It's these memories that help get us through these times and forever keep our loved ones in our hearts. Wishing you all well.
Sincerely, Sue Dietel (aka Susi).

Condolence: To David's family,
I only had the pleasure of meeting David once and I will always remember his kind voice and his smile. Christmas day as he sat in that comfy chair just looking around at all his family and listening to them chat and giggle. He had a look of love, admiration and a proud husband and father.

Remember " When someone you love becomes a memory;
The memory becomes a Treasure. "

Deepest sympathy

Condolence: To Laureen and Family,
I am so sorry to hear of Dave's passing. Dave and I grew up together on McGregor Avenue in Fort William. We were very close friends our whole lives until we both left to pursue our careers.
Dave was a good friend and highly regarded by all his teenage friends, known as The McGregor Gang. We shared lots of truly memorable times, as only boys born in 1937 can.
Dave showed signs of his future path even then. For example, he was able to research and put together the chemicals necessary for gunpowder, which we all enjoyed making the explosive detonate!
As a final aside, I will always remember sharing the warm atmosphere of his family home with him, and his Mother's homemade chocolate fudge cake.
