Obituary for Douglas Bow

Douglas Bow
Long time employee of Bell Canada

Douglas William Bow passed away Friday March 30th, 2018 at the Kingston General Hospital after a long courageous battle with heart problems. Doug was born January 31st, 1945 in Brockville where he resided all his life. He was predeceased by his parents George Bow and Violet Shepherd. Doug is survived by his wife Susan (Parr) Bow, and his sons Aron Bow (Jennifer), Jeffery Bow (Roxane) and Steven Bow (Jenikka). He will be missed by his four grandchildren, Reagan, Kaelan, Jacob and Mila whom he loved very much. Doug is also survived by his siblings Ellie Cannon (Liam), Richard Bow (Joanne) and Thomas Bow (Cathy); brothers-in-law Ronald Parr (Margie) and David Parr (Pam); and sisters-in-law Nancy McMahon (Jamie) and Mary Bernard (Larry). Fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews.

Doug was very active in the Scouting movement in Brockville and he was also an avid show car enthusiast. He attended many car shows over the years in his 1974 Dodge Dart Sport Coupe that he restored and won many trophies for at the car shows. You could see him driving around town in the summer time as he was very proud of his Dart.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James St. E., Brockville. A celebration of life will be held at Nancy and Jamie McMahon's home in Brockville on Thursday, April 5th from 2-4 pm. A private family internment will be held at a later date.
