Our Heritage

October 28, 1973 marked the beginning of our treasured history of caring for the community of Brockville and area. It was on this autumn day that Irvine Funeral Home officially was opened, and Brent Irvine proudly greeted visitors to an open house. He had taken ownership of the Samuel Flint House in the summer of 1973 and completed modifications over several months.

- Irvine Funeral Home is established at 4 James Street East, Brockville with Arthur Maloney, long time Brockville funeral director, joining Brent.

- Expansion of the funeral home with the opening of The Irvine Funeral Chapel, Brockville's first funeral chapel.
- Michael Galbraith commences his intership at Irvine Funeral Home, becoming a licensed funeral director in 1995.

- Expansion of the funeral home with the opening of the Irvine Reception Centre - a facility for catered gatherings following funeral services.

- Valued associate Arthur Maloney passed away on September 10.
- The Irvine Family forms a separate company and acquires Roselawn Memorial Gardens at Maitland from Arbor Memorial Services Inc.

- Roselawn Tribute Centre and Crematorium is opened on the grounds of Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

- Jonathan Irvine, son of Brent and Barbara, joins the family businesses working at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

- Expansion at Roselawn is completed and the facility renamed the Irvine Memorial Chapel and Reception Centre at Roselawn.
